Towards the end of 1999, I took an “around the word” trip, with the intention of going away for a year, passing from one millennium to the next.
When I left Melbourne, I started with Japan and went onto the USA and then Europe. I immediately feel in love with Japan – as alien as it felt, to have my feet on Japanese soil, I found it to be the most exciting and magical journey.
